Malfunctions: incidents and accidents

Studying the origins of malfunctions is one of the major issues in ergonomic analysis. There are several competing approaches to the analysis of incident and accident processes. Methodological approaches, in terms of identifying contributing factors, have the advantage of taking into account the globality of the work situation.

The ergonomist proposes the identification of contributing factors in the analysis of incidents in pilot systems. The author [7] proposes a classification of contributing factors based on an approach to incident and accident analysis.
