10. Roll eccentricity compensation on a cold rolling mill tandem

When we study product thickness at the exit of a rolling mill tandem, we realize that to improve performance, we need to eliminate the disturbances generated by roll eccentricities.

Spectral analysis of the thickness at the tandem outlet reveals the frequencies generated by the eccentricity of each cylinder in each cage (figure 11 ).

A study of the harmonic contribution of the cylinders in each cage was carried out to determine the number of influential frequencies for each type of cylinder and each cage.
