 INTRODUCTION

This case study illustrates the importance of adapting IT security to meet new threats to our information and communication systems.

The excessive openness of information systems has led companies to control access to communication services; but the new IT threats now target information, because once the access barrier has been crossed, unstructured data is poorly protected. We need to start the security process all over again, because we seem to have relinquished control over data, and we need to use risk analysis to define security for data at rest, and to ensure the functions of use for data in motion.

The transformation of our information systems must result in a security strategy for sensitive data in line with a security strategy for exchanges.
