4. Requirements management

4.1 Activities

Requirements are used to link documents (specification files, design files, coding files, etc.), but also as test objectives. The different categories of tests (unit tests, software/software integration, software/hardware integration, functional tests and acceptance tests) must be linked to requirements on the basis of the "type of verification" attribute. The result is a requirements management process that links the initial needs, the choices made during implementation and the validation phases (figure 31 ).
