1.1 Functional analysis

Functional analysis is not a specific activity of operational safety, but it is a prerequisite for it. It is a method of analysis which consists in thinking in terms of a need to be satisfied, expressed in the form of functions to be fulfilled, with their value criteria, in a given environment.

Its aim is to build a product that satisfies the right need. It favors creativity, objectivity and comprehensiveness....
