Allothétique, idiothétique; allothetic, idiothetic

In relation to an animal's navigation, allothetic receptors are those that collect external information, and are independent of the animal's physiological state and behavior. Idiothetic receptors are those that collect internal signals concerning the animal's body position or changes in position.

Biobot; biobot

Robot with living cells or cell elements combined with artificial elements in its structure or control, such as a robot moving with the flagellum of a spermatozoon.

Cyborg; cyborg

A robot that combines sensory receptors, actuators and even entire living organisms with the artificial, such as a robot following an olfactory trail with Bombyx antennae, or a cockroach remotely controlled by a computer.
