2.1 Technical aspects

PARO ® (personal robot) is a social emotional (or affective) animaloid robot in the shape of a harpooned baby seal, which interacts with others. It has no artificial empathy: it simulates when it shows attention. It is not capable of feeling (Dolbeau-Bandin, 2018).
