1.1 Reminder

In contact thermometry, the "realization of the definition of a given quantity" can be provided either by a measuring system (reference thermometers, temperature generator, electrical measuring chain, etc.), or by a materialized measurement (fixed temperature points). The first method is calibration by comparison, while the second is calibration by fixed points. These two methods are explained later in this document (§ 2
