7.1.1 Presentation

A self-collimating telescope (figure 18 ) is capable of measuring small angular variations from a few hundred seconds to a hundred minutes of angle, with maximum errors of the order of a few hundredths of an arc second for the most efficient equipment, and a few seconds for the most common.
