3. Specification by tolerance zone

  • Principle

    As mentioned above, during the design phase, the design office responsible for defining a product must imagine, for each component part of the mechanism, the dimensional and geometric defects compatible with the various technical functions in which they are involved. The definition drawing must therefore include information reflecting the functional conditions.

  • Indication on a drawing (NF E 04-552) (ISO 1101)

A geometric specification is indicated on a drawing using a table linked to the specified entity by an arrow (Figure 6 )....
