 INTRODUCTION

Geometric specifications (NF E 04-552) (ISO 1101): which the design office produces on a definition drawing, guarantee geometric deviations between the theoretical nominal imagined and the actual realized, compatible with functional conditions.

The defects taken into account are classified into four categories:

  • shape defects ;

  • orientation faults ;

  • position faults ;

  • flutter defects.

For these various shortcomings, this section will be accompanied by a description of the different syntaxes that can be used by the designer:

  • decoding (in the sense of the ISO standard) necessary for their interpretation;

  • an approach to the associated checking fixtures.
