5. Optical components for high laser flux

Optical components for power lasers must be made from materials that can withstand high levels of laser power without deteriorating, excessively absorbing laser radiation or inducing changes in optical properties. These materials are chosen according to the specific requirements of the laser application, including laser wavelength, output power, operating mode (continuous, pulsed) and operating environment.
