6. Conclusion

Accreditation to ISO/CEI 17025 has enabled the STAC laboratory to enhance and develop its skills, with the constant aim of meeting its customers' needs and requirements as effectively as possible.

This approach has had the effect of improving both its organization and the reliability of its adhesion measurements. In fact, the monitoring tools (e.g. control chart; interlaboratory test; internal audit) put in place enable us to identify process anomalies likely to impair measurement reliability, and to remedy them as far upstream as possible, in order to avoid the delivery of a non-compliant product. This accreditation is also a motivating factor for the laboratory's staff, as they see this international distinction as recognition of their skills.
