The above-mentioned polarimetric sensors are used in fields such as industry, medicine and cultural heritage applications. A common feature of the polarization images produced is that materials of different natures can be detected in the same scene. In the industrial sector, the main application is quality control, or the detection of material properties in optics or electronics. For medical applications, the main focus is on diagnostic aids. Without being exhaustive, this section aims to present recent developments in these different fields.
