Paramètres de Stokes/Mueller ; Stokes/Mueller parameters

Intensity values whose measurement qualifies the polarization state of light, Stokes vector, or the polarimetric characteristics of a medium, Mueller matrix.

Degree of polarization; Degré de polarisation (DOP)

Unitless quantity that measures the amount of polarized radiation contained in the light analyzed.

Angle de polarisation ; Polarization angle

In the case of a partially linearly polarized wave, this is the angle of orientation of the wave with respect to its direction of propagation. It is estimated by measuring the phase shift of the signal transmitted by a rotating polarizer.
