2.1 Equilibrium equations in motion

We now analyze the case of two coupled oscillators (figure 4 ). The coupling is assumed to be conservative, i.e. no energy is dissipated at the junction. Coupling is expressed in terms of stiffness, mass or gyroscopic coupling coefficient. We therefore introduce a coupling stiffness K c as well as a mass m c and a gyroscopic coefficient g c .
