Technological advances and the emergence of new, ever more powerful components have led to the development of digital multipliers for power measurement at industrial frequencies.

This is a very attractive development, as it enables the transition from single-function analog products to digital products with more functions.

Via the acquisition card, the processor accesses the instantaneous values of the input quantities, enabling it to calculate not only the average power, but also all the other characteristic quantities of the network (RMS values of voltages and currents, active and reactive powers, power factor, etc.).
