7. Conclusion

As we've seen, there is a wide variety of different projection systems, each with its own preferred areas of application. Today, tube-based front projection has completely disappeared in favor of new technologies such as LCD and DLP. Likewise, microdisplay-based rear projection is supplanting tube-based systems.
