4.1 Measurement of DC voltages, surge voltages and peak voltages by spintermeter

The spintermeter method, or sphere spark gap, is used to check that a voltage value is reached, while ensuring that this value is not exceeded. At the pre-determined voltage, the spark gap fires, guaranteeing that the condition is not exceeded.
