Direct conversion receiver (homodyne); Direct conversion receiver

A direct conversion (homodyne) receiver architecture is a configuration that transposes the reception band directly into the baseband (BB) and uses low-pass filters to eliminate adjacent interference.

In a radio receiver, a radio frequency front end is a generic term for all circuits between the antenna input of a receiver up to and including the mixer stage.
