3. Conclusion

After an intense initial R&D phase, followed by numerous field demonstrations, RCFO Fiber Optic Sensor Arrays have progressively whetted the appetite of users, and are now deployed worldwide in a very wide range of application fields, often in harsh environments, from underground mines to spacecraft, transportation, energy, intelligent structures and security. The primary, secondary and tertiary sectors of the economy are all concerned by these innovative measurement technologies.
