1. Statutory objectives

a) Set up a documentation center on the various national services involved in the inspection of measuring instruments subject to regulations.

b) Determine the general principles of legal metrology.

c) To study, with a view to unification, the legislative and regulatory problems of legal metrology from the point of view of international interest.

d) Draft model laws and regulations on measuring instruments and their use.

e) Establish the qualities and characteristics of measuring instruments so that they can be approved and recommended by Member States at international level.

f) Promote relations between the national metrology services of each of the organization's member states.

g) Promote the development of legal metrology in all countries,...
