5. Conclusion

Between the emission of a sound (source) and its perception (receiver), acoustic propagation in an outdoor environment is a field that is the subject of much international research. It is on these "propagation" links in the "sound chain" that both the article [BR 100] and the present document [BR 102] focus. Despite the significant progress made in recent years, many aspects have yet to be mastered, both in terms of understanding the physical phenomena involved, and in terms of the experimental characterization and numerical modeling of these propagative phenomena.
