5. Conclusion

The search for eco-innovative products based on the seven eco-efficiency axes changes design paradigms. The concept of the actions to be carried out under each axis guides the designer.

The Eco-MAL'IN analysis and formalization tools developed constitute a new knowledge base:

  • the Eco-MAL'IN matrix suggests actions to be taken;

  • resources and their environmental vision provide opportunities for evolution;

  • the relevant design parameters are selected;

  • the knowledge cards propose lines of evolution;

  • attack biases point towards the innovation principles of TRIZ theory.
