5. Conclusions

The surest way to develop ecolabel criteria is to carry out LCAs on representative products. However, this is not always possible, for reasons linked to the goodwill of the players holding the data, or to the cost or time required to collect them. Nonetheless, the principles of life cycle assessment, as defined by standard X 30-300, must always be applied when drawing up eco-label criteria.

  • Product group definition and delimitation
