2. Environmental impact of freight transport

Essential to our lifestyles, mobility is a source of environmental and health pollution: the transport sector is the leading emitter of greenhouse gases (30% of emissions in France in 2016) and the leading consumer of petroleum products. On a local scale, air pollution, noise and the consumption of space affect the quality of life of the population.
