3. High-volume packaging

Large volumes, such as generally open vats, intermediate storage tanks and closed transport tanks, range from a few dozen to several hundred hectolitres. The walls of these large, closed containers, known in some circles as "vessels", are made of metal and completely envelop the contents, with or without a gaseous phase. At the very least, these containers are equipped with an emptying and filling valve, and an opening at the top fitted with a tap to release the gas present in the tank during filling, and to assist (or accelerate) emptying by admitting compressed gas during the process.

There are also level taps at the top and bottom of the container (make sure that the bottom level tap is always located as far away as possible from the tank's drain port, otherwise it will give a distorted idea of the level as the liquid flows out).
