5. Other stabilization techniques

5.1 Calling up phenomena requiring an electrical source

We will classify them into two main groups:

  • techniques that do not involve a thermal effect;

  • those for which heat production remains the main manifestation.

The first category includes :

  • membrane technology, in which electricity is used to transfer fluids through filter media;

  • ionization;

  • ultraviolet radiation ;

  • high pressure ;

  • pulsed electric fields ;

  • pulsed light.
