1. Rinsing containers in the cleaning process
This operation always completes a cleaning procedure. This operation must be carried out on a bottle washer with chlorinated or non-chlorinated water, sterile or simply potable, and must be followed by alkaline or acid cleaning of the container, before it can be filled.
Since the widespread use of non-returnable glass packaging, beverage cans and plastic containers, systematic washing is no longer necessary, since these containers come out of a machine that has manufactured them at a sufficiently high temperature for them to be considered clean or, at the very least, free from organic or microbial contamination. However, new glass bottles may show traces of poor combustion of the fuels used in annealing, as well as graphite grease particles from molds or traces of products used in surface treatment. This is why we recommend rinsing new containers.
