2. PI drum accessories

The essential accessories for the PI brewery keg are :

• the plunger, who enables the contents of the container to be discharged at the cafetier and the packaging operations at the brewery;

• the flow head, permanently installed at the bottler's premises, which connects the container to the draught system, linking it to the draught column and to the carbon dioxide source that maintains carbonation and pushes the beer through the circuit.

In the recent past, the barrel was delivered closed with a bondon screwed onto the bung ring, sealed with a paraffin cloth or, later, an O-ring.
