6. Conclusion

As we have seen throughout this article, urban renaturation is a vast subject. Behind the warmth and recreational appeal of greening urban spaces lie a number of scientific, technical and regulatory issues that remain unresolved. The implementation of blue and green infrastructures is far from systematic, as it comes up against a number of limitations in current knowledge of the ecosystem services they can provide. This is mainly due to the lack of feedback on existing structures. Very few of them are equipped with sensors and/or a monitoring protocol that would provide a better understanding of their actual functioning. In the event of obtaining environmental certification, this would make it easier to verify the supposed performance, but also to monitor its durability over time and implement appropriate maintenance.
