5.1 The impact of gaming on mobility practices

The various experiments carried out by Maestromobile, mainly in the Brussels region, have shown that gaming is an effective tool for raising citizens' awareness of different forms of mobility by enabling them to try them out for themselves. This approach differs from the majority of awareness-raising campaigns, which focus primarily on communicating with the general public through the distribution of brochures, urban posters or advertisements in traditional media or social networks, but rarely on experimentation.
