13. Transport
Transport has a twofold impact on embodied energy. It is necessary to transport goods or provide services. The associated energy consumption is therefore directly linked to the embodied energy of the goods or service. The other level concerns the energy required to manufacture a transport vehicle. This energy is included in the grey energy of the means of transport.
