4. Conclusion
In the noblest sense of the word, the smart city is an element of language. It enables players (local authorities, metropolises, residents) to agree and coordinate on a set of processes whose complexity and plurality make it impossible for all parties to fully understand each other. It is from this last observation that the increasing presence of private companies in this sector stems, hoping to find a new source of value while bringing to the table parts of the knowledge that certain local authorities lack.
Despite all these assertions, it remains complicated to generalize and standardize a discourse on the smart city and, a fortiori, a discourse on intelligent lighting. As we have already discussed, lighting and urban intelligence are two objects that need to be analyzed contextually, spatially and temporally. Talking about the public lighting network already...
