5. Conclusion

This article provides an overview of the term "Big Data" and the technologies associated with it, covering the main scientific, technical, economic and societal issues involved. Many aspects, however, have not been covered, such as the ethical issues linked to their use and generalization in almost all areas and activities of daily life. We have introduced the various major methods involved, in terms of storage, processing and analysis.

With a very high annual growth rate, there is a significant need for human expertise, particularly in the analysis of megadata, which is part of the now well-established discipline of data science, at the crossroads of computer science and statistical mathematics.
