8. Conclusion and outlook

French grid operator Enedis has developed, tested and deployed a number of smart grid solutions to better integrate renewable energies into medium- and low-voltage distribution networks, from local or coordinated voltage regulation solutions to smart connection offers and simulation tools to help producers with their projects. The most mature industrial smart grids solutions will be deployed on a large scale in two zones in western and southeastern France from mid-2017.

Demonstrators are a good way of testing these solutions in different use cases, in order to select the best of them from a technical and economic point of view, and to be able to decide on their industrialization and targeted deployment, when the cost-benefit analysis is favorable, and for some of them, depending on the producer's business model.
