Urban stormwater management is commonly understood to mean the collection, transport, storage and treatment of stormwater in urban areas. The conventional approach to this issue is to set up large centralized networks. Over the last few decades, however, a decentralized (or "at source") approach has gradually developed, based on technical devices and non-structural measures.
