5. Calibration

Numerous methods are available for calibrating the various analytical instruments dedicated to air and gases in general. The most widespread is the use of pressurized cylinders of standard gases. Mixtures of compounds (VOCs) are also available in this form, and are certified by intercomparison campaigns between various international organizations (National Institute of Science and Technology, USA; Laboratoire National d'Essais, France; National Physical Laboratory, UK...).
