4. Periodic inspection principles and procedures

Periodic inspection of certain classified facilities is different from other inspections that may be carried out on these facilities, and is therefore governed by a specific regulatory framework in terms of both deadlines and organization.

Box 4 – Inspection of classified facilities

The Classified Facilities Inspectorate carries out environmental policing missions at industrial and agricultural facilities (governed by regulations on classified facilities), in order to prevent the risks, dangers and nuisances associated with their operation.
