3. Multisensor system design and development at CEA Le Ripault

Experiments relating to vapor detection tests are carried out using specific equipment developed in the laboratory in October 2003. This device (figure 5 ) enables simultaneous signal acquisition from eight different microbalances. It comprises several components:

  • a thermostatically controlled detection cell containing eight microbalances, the eight oscillating circuits and a PT100 temperature sensor;

  • four frequency meters ;

  • a power supply and temperature control unit;

  • a data acquisition device (interfaced PC).
