5.1 The speakers

In general, drilling and sampling operations are entrusted to engineering firms specializing in environmental soil diagnostics. These companies carry out the historical studies (see [2] , Techniques de l'Ingénieur), define the investigation and analysis program, and organize the drilling and sampling work. They generally subcontract drilling work to specialized companies. In addition to defining the investigation program, the design office's responsibilities include the following:
