3. What are the objectives of the hazard study?

The hazard study must :

  • describe the hazards that the plant may present in the event of an accident, including a description of accidents that may occur, whether caused internally or externally, and the nature and extent of the consequences of any accident;

  • justify the measures taken to reduce the probability and effects of an accident, determined under the responsibility of the applicant and including, in particular, the construction provisions, preventive measures and the nature and organization of the emergency resources (private or public) that have been taken into account.
