4. Scenario 4: toxic cloud

A toxic cloud can primarily cause asphyxiation when the human body does not receive sufficient oxygen. This is most likely to occur in a confined atmosphere. The problem is local, depending, for example, on the rate of air renewal. While asphyxiation is not a major concern in terms of the hazards that an industrial plant may pose to its neighbors, there are cases where modeling the dispersion of a toxic cloud is of major importance .
