6. A few words about listeners and auditees

6.1 Auditors

You can't improvise being an auditor!

Specific skills are required, based on demonstration:

• personal qualities ;

• the ability to apply knowledge and skills.

The standard NF EN ISO 19011 :2018 lists, in paragraph 7.2.2, the personal behaviors that an auditor should adopt, namely :

" – integrity, i.e. fairness, commitment to truth, sincerity, honesty and discretion;

" – open-minded, i.e. willing to consider different ideas or points of view ;

" – diplomacy, i.e. tact and skill in dealing...
