The DEME (Dredging Environmental and Marine Engineering) soil washing center in Kallo, which has been in operation since 1995, is based on Heijmans Milieutechniek technology, which has been operating in the Netherlands since 1985. This technology is also used under license in Germany and Switzerland. The treatment capacity of the Heijmans center ranges from 10 to 25 t / h, while that of the DEME center is 30 t / h
