5. Sizing reactive permeable barriers

The use of BPRs requires knowledge of a large number of parameters such as :

  • the water flow to be channelled to the filter doors ;

  • Hydraulic characteristics of filters ;

  • filter retention capacities ;

  • screen dimensions ;

  • hydraulic characteristics of the screen ;

  • the presence or absence of a watertight bedrock.

This requires detailed site characterization.
