6. Conclusions

Since the last reviews on the subject of sulfur oxides published in the references [J 3924] , it is reassuring to note that atmospheric SO 2 emissions continue to fall substantially in France. Indeed, this is also the case in most European Union member countries, following the emission ceilings and limit values imposed by directives.
