1. Regulatory framework and objectives

The elimination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) has become a priority in the fight against polluting gas emissions. Indeed, these compounds are implicated in the greenhouse effect or the disruption of the Chapman cycle (see [J 3 928] ), leading to abnormal ozone concentrations in the air. France has signed international treaties on the reduction of atmospheric pollution, and in particular on the reduction of volatile organic compounds
