5.1 Don't overlook the intervention of an association during the public inquiry

Associations have the capacity to influence the course of the public inquiry. If you are aware of any such intervention, please do not hesitate to contact the investigating commissioner, to propose the organization of a public meeting or a visit to your future site, in order to encourage discussion and defuse any potential sources of conflict.
