2. Dissolution enthalpies

Table 1 gives the enthalpies of dissolution in water, Δ dis H, of mineral compounds.

They are expressed in kJ.mol - 1 .

The original publication [1] gave the heats of dissolution reaction Q expressed in kcal.mol - 1 .

Q being the heat released by the dissolution reaction, we have : Q = - Δ dis H

Not knowing the uncertainty attached to the values in the original publication, we have kept, after converting kcal.mol...
